My work Mac does have double the memory (16gb) but is on HDD drive, and has less space left on the disk but it absolutely flies. I do run memory intensive apps like photoshop, illustrator, Indesign as well as having say 10 tabs open on Chrome quite often all at the same time. I have only used half of my disk storage (around 500gb). I will admit I haven't made any upgrades to the mac since purchasing it (around 2013), nor have I given it a good clean out/or reinstalled OS.

The only new user feature identified by Apple is Messages in iCloud, which Apple states is a feature of High Sierra only there is no comparable option in the Sierra version of the Messages app. Apple has today released the expected update to High Sierra, to bring it to version 10.13.5, together with security updates (2018-003) for El Capitan and Sierra.Īlmost all Macs also have a bundled EFI firmware update included.
